Carbon Steel Plate

JSW Steel (USA) is one of the few rolling mills in the U.S. with the capability to produce steel plate in widths of up to 160 inches and thicknesses ranging from 1/4 to 6 inches. With thermo-mechanical controlled rolling for high-grade steel applications, the plate division produces plates to exacting customer specifications.

The plate mill is an ISO 9001:2008 certified mill that produces a large number of steel grades ranging from structural quality (A36) to higher quality grades (such as API Grades to X80 for pipe application).The facility is equipped with a 2-high roughing mill, a 4-high finishing mill, hydraulic automatic gauge control and a Plan View Rolling system. The company owns and operates its own barge dock and has full rail access.

JSW Steel Texas Works' plate division production processes incorporate industry standards and the most demanding customer requirements.

The plate mill has the capacity to produce up to 160 inch wide plates with thicknesses ranging from 1/4 to 6 inches. The annual capacity is 1.2Mil tons.
